KrishiDukan ("we", "our", or "us") is an agri-commerce platform operated by Karanarjun Technologies. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your data is secure.

1. Information We Collect

Phone Number & Account DataWe collect your mobile phone number to create and authenticate your account via one-time password (OTP). We may also collect your name and business details if you are a retailer or manufacturer.
Location DataWith your permission, we access your approximate or precise location to show nearby agri-input stores and products. In the KrishiDukan marketplace app and website, location access is optional and can be denied without losing core browsing features. Different rules apply to our field sales staff — see section 4.
Usage DataWe collect anonymised information about how you interact with the app (screens visited, searches, errors) to improve the Service and provide a better user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create, manage, and authenticate your account securely.
  • To display nearby stores and product availability relevant to your area.
  • To process orders and payments smoothly.
  • To send transactional notifications (e.g., order status, OTPs).
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To improve app performance, troubleshoot bugs, and develop new features.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with trusted third-party service providers to operate our platform:

Google FirebaseUsed for secure authentication, database hosting, and app analytics.
RazorpaySecure payment gateway. Razorpay's privacy policy governs payment data.
Google MapsUsed to display store locations and calculate distances. No personal data is shared.

4. Field Sales Staff (KrishiDukan Sales App)

This section applies only to KrishiDukan Sales, a separate app used by our authorised field sales executives. It does not apply to customers, retailers or manufacturers using the KrishiDukan marketplace. Access requires an account issued by a KrishiDukan administrator.

Location is required, not optionalThe purpose of the app is to record where field work took place, so a sales executive cannot start or end a working day, log a dealer visit, or mark attendance without granting location access. We record precise coordinates at each of those moments, and the road route and distance travelled between them.
We do not track location in the backgroundLocation is read only at the moment the executive performs one of those actions, and only while the app is open. The app does not request background location permission and does not follow a device continuously, outside working hours, or when it is closed.
Work recordsWe store attendance status, working hours, visit purpose and notes, and expense claims including the amount, category and any photograph of a bill uploaded for reimbursement.
Business contact details entered by staffExecutives record the shop name, owner name, phone number, address and location of the dealers, distributors and manufacturers they visit. This is business contact information used to manage our trade relationships. If you are a listed business and want your details corrected or removed, contact us using section 9.
Why we collect it and who can see itThis data is processed for employment purposes: verifying field activity, approving expense reimbursements, and planning territory coverage. A sales executive can see only their own records. KrishiDukan administrators can see the records of the whole field team. It is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with other customers or sellers.
RetentionField activity and expense records are retained as business and accounting records for as long as required by law, and therefore may outlast an executive's employment. Questions about your own records can be raised with your administrator or at the address in section 9.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections and stored securely in Google Firebase infrastructure. We follow strict industry-standard practices to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights & Policy Changes

Your Rights: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact our support team. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.

Changes to Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
